The Laboratory of Functional Plant Biology is a part of the Department of Physiology of the Faculty of Science at Ghent University.

Our group is interested in different aspects of Molecular Plant Physiology. Main lines of research are in the field of plant hormone signalling and bio-imaging.

We also have a project on folate biosynthesis and metabolic engineering

Prof. Dr. Dominique Van Der Straeten leads the Laboratory of Functional Plant Biology.

Our group was formerly known as Unit Hormone Signalling and Bio-Imaging (HSB)
